Our Artistic Side

Claremont Manor is home to a vibrant community of artists, including authors, painters, musicians. Larry Allen is an accomplished wood carver. Wilbur Herd’s organ virtuosity is a pleasure for any lucky listener. And Lois Schaffer is well known for her watercolors, oils, acrylics and tole painting. Our campus is not just a source of inspiration for these creative expressions, but it also allows resident artists to display their work to the world. Our artists regularly exhibit at Claremont Village’s Friday evening Art Walk and the local galleries and artisans are very supportive of their work.

At our Front Porch Gallery in Carlsbad, we not only exhibit the artwork of our residents, we also celebrate those remarkable artists who’ve created them. The Front Porch Gallery also partners with community arts organizations to create an understanding of aging through art.
