Meet New Friends

The diverse residents at Claremont Manor include couples and singles, professionals, housewives, artists, educators and people from all walks of life. Many of these people share a special bond with each other, bonds that sometimes show how small our world really is. Rachelle Morris, our director of Resident Services and Programs, was surprised to find that her former high school principal, Lyle Fry, was a resident. At one of our dinner dances, Rachelle asked Lyle to dance without fear of demerits. And a renewed friendship was realized.

Jeanette “Pinky” Pinckley’s close friends Happi Moore and Ruth Calkin already lived at Claremont Manor when she moved into her cottage. These three women have known each other for more than 55 years since high school when Happi trained Pinky at her first job. Reuniting at Claremont Manor brought these close friendships full circle and they’ve only strengthened their friendship since then.
